So my name is Maisam Ali. I am 27 years old. Born and brought up in Karachi.
Growing up in this vibrant city has shaped my perspective. Karachi's energy is infectious, and it's instilled in me a love for diversity and a desire to create designs that resonate with a global audience. My childhood memories are filled with the colours and sounds of the city, and that playful spirit finds its way into my design approach – making even the most complex interfaces feel approachable and engaging.
WHAT BROUGHT ME TO PRODUCT DESIGN
For ten years, I explored different creative avenues, searching for the perfect design fit. Then, product design came along, and it was like finding that missing puzzle piece! Three years in, I'm still fascinated by its power to create seamless user experiences. I obsess over crafting interfaces that are intuitive and clear – interfaces that would make even the next billion users feel comfortable.
My background in diverse fields like B2B retail and American property valuation has been invaluable. It allows me to understand the needs of a wide range of users and approach problems from different angles. I see myself as a design bridge, connecting people to their needs with a user-friendly interface and a smile.

WHAT AM I DOING CURRENTLY?
Now, I'm applying my design skills at NayaPay, a fintech company working to simplify digital payments in Pakistan. It’s exciting to contribute to a platform that helps people and businesses manage their finances more easily. Seeing how good design can make everyday transactions smoother and more accessible is truly rewarding.

Previously, I had the opportunity to work with some of Pakistan's most successful companies, including Spursol and Bazaar Technologies. These experiences helped me grow both as a designer and a problem solver, deepening my understanding of product, business, and design.
